Coleraine Chronicle
The Coleraine Chronicle is a weekly broadsheet newspaper sold in and around the northern coast of Northern Ireland (the “Causeway Coast”, named after the Giant’s Causeway).
It was first published in 1844. It’s now published by the Dungannon-based Alpha Newspaper Group, owned by former Ulster Unionist MP Lord Kilclooney.
It comes out on Wednesdays. There’s an associated freesheet tabloid, The Leader. There are also local sub-editions for Ballycastle, Ballymoney and Limavady. The series claims to have the second highest weekly circulation in the whole of Northern Ireland.
