All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Ballymena Guardian

The Ballymena Guardian is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the town of Ballymena in County Antrim.

It was launched in 1977 and is published by the Alpha Newspaper Group from editorial offices in the town. It has a sister newspaper, the Antrim Guardian; their website claims that the two papers together sell more than three times as many copies as the combined local opposition.

It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available by paid subscription.
