The Advertiser (defunct)
The Advertiser was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to households in the western and south-western suburbs of Leeds in West Yorkshire.
It was published by Newsquest from editorial offices in Bradford, although there was also an office in Pudsey.
It was a descendant of the Bramley Advertiser, which was founded in 1891 and bought by Newsquest in February 2003. Newsquest took that original title and expanded it into four newspapers. The Armley & Wortley Advertiser was the first new title, being launched in November 2003. The Pudsey Advertiser followed in July 2004 and the Horsforth Advertiser in July 2005. All four titles were incorporated into a single title, The Advertiser, in June 2008.
It came out on Wednesdays. It appears to have ceased publication some time in 2010, although details are obscure.
