The Dearne Valley Weekender
is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the Dearne Valley district in the Metropolitan Boroughs of Rotherham and Doncaster
in South Yorkshire, including the towns of Mexborough, Conisbrough, Rawmarsh and Sprotborough. It has the largest distribution of any free newspaper in the Dearne Valley.
It was founded in 1988. It’s published by Garnett Dickinson Publishing, independent publishers of the Rotherham Advertiser, to which the Weekender is a companion (it also shares the Advertiser‘s website). The editorial offices are in Mexborough.
It comes out on Fridays. A e-edition is also available online – you have to register for it, but it’s free.
