Wolverhampton AdNews (defunct)
The Wolverhampton AdNews was a freesheet weekly tabloid newspaper covering Wolverhampton and Dudley, though its geographical spread extended as far as Albrighton in Shropshire and Brewood in Staffordshire.
It first appeared in 1973. It was published by Midland Weekly Media Ltd, part of the Trinity Mirror Group. Its editorial offices were, perhaps a little surprisingly, in Walsall, where they were collocated with the Walsall Observer.
It came out on Thursdays.
Trinity Mirror Midlands announced its closure at the end of March 2009, although the website (part of Trinity Mirror’s icNetwork group of websites) continues in existence, carrying news from the Birmingham Mail‘s website.
