Rugeley Post (defunct)

The Rugeley Post was a local sub-edition of the weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper the Lichfield Post and was delivered to homes in and around the town of Rugeley in Staffordshire to the east of Cannock Chase, including the villages of Colton, Longdon and Armitage.

It was established in 1980. It was published by Trinity Mirror Midlands from editorial offices in Cannock which were shared with the Cannock Chase Post and the Burntwood Post.

It had no website of its own; the link below is to the Lichfield Post‘s website (which, however, doesn’t carry updated local news any more).

It came out on Thursdays.

It ceased publication in July 2009, along with several other of Trinity Mirror Midlands’ titles including the Lichfield Post.
