Redditch & Alcester Advertiser

The Redditch & Alcester Advertiser (“incorporating the Alcester Chronicle“) is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the New Town of Redditch in north-eastern Worcestershire and the nearby towns of Alcester and Studley in western Warwickshire.

It was founded in 1975 as the Redditch Advertiser. A local sub-edition for Alcester, the Alcester Chronicle, was merged into the parent edition in May 2013 and the title amended accordingly.

It’s published by Newsquest (Midlands South), the local division of nationwide media group Newsquest. The editorial offices are in Bromsgrove and are shared with the Bromsgrove Advertiser and the Droitwich Advertiser.

Although it’s a freesheet, a very small number of copies are sold in newsagents.

It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition’s also available on the website.
