North Shropshire Chronicle
The North Shropshire Chronicle is a local sub-edition of the weekly paid tabloid the Shrewsbury Chronicle which covers the former local government district of North Shropshire, including the towns of Wem, Whitchurch and Ellesmere.
It’s published by Telford-based Shropshire Newspapers, the local division of the Midland News Association that also publishes the evening county-wide newspaper the Shropshire Star. The editorial offices are in Abbey Foregate in Shrewsbury.
Although it’s been a separate edition of the Shrewsbury Chronicle for some years, it received its own separate front page only in 1999.
A price reduction and redesign were announced at the end of April 2009, at the same time that the Shrewsbury Chronicle switched to a part-paid, part-freesheet model.
It comes out on Thursday mornings.
