Burton Advertiser

The Burton Advertiser is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Burton-on-Trent in south-eastern Staffordshire and for other nearby towns and villages, including Barton-under-Needwood in Staffordshire, Swadlincote and Ashby-de-la-Zouch in north-western Leicestershire, and numerous villages in South Derbyshire (its full title, in fact, is the Burton & South Derbyshire Advertiser).

It was founded in 1979 as a companion to the Burton Mail (whose website it shares). It’s published by Staffordshire Newspapers Ltd, part of the Iliffe News & Media group, which itself is now part of Local World. It shares the Mail‘s editorial offices in Burton.

It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition’s also available free via the website.
