West Somerset News-Trader

The West Somerset News-Trader is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the West Somerset coast, covering the towns of Minehead, Watchet, Williton, Dunster and Porlock, and Exmoor as far inland as Dulverton.

It’s published by West Somerset Free Press Ltd, a division of the Tindle Newspapers group owned by Sir Ray Tindle, who acquired the Free Press in 1980 and under whose guidance the News-Trader was launched (as the West Somerset Trader) in 1991. The editorial offices are in Williton.

It has no website of its own; the link below is to the Free Press‘s website.

It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition is also available online, though you have to search for it (there’s no link from the website) and new editions aren’t always added promptly to the archive.
