It was launched in 2008 and is published by Gloucestershire Media, a branch of Northcliffe Media – formerly the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper publishing arm but now the main constituent of the Local World media group.
The editorial offices are in Cheltenham, along with three other Gloucestershire Media titles: The Citizen, The Forester and the Gloucestershire Echo. It also shares a common website with the other titles although, in line with Northcliffe’s move to turn their newspaper companion websites into local portals, the former separate sections within the site have now been abandoned.
Most of its distribution is free direct to homes, but a significant share (about one-third) is sold through the news trade.
It comes out on Wednesdays.
