The Okehampton Times
is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the town of Okehampton in West Devon and rural areas to the north and north-west of Dartmoor
It was founded in 1976 and was owned by Mirror Group Newspapers and by West of England Newspapers until being acquired by Sir Ray Tindle’s Tindle Newspapers group in 1984. It’s published by Tindle’s Tavistock Newspapers subsidiary, who also publish the Tavistock Times Gazette and the East Cornwall Times; all three are published from Tavistock, although the Okehampton Times does have an editorial office in Okehampton.
It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available by paid subscription.
