Midweek Herald
The Midweek Herald is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for East Devon, covering the towns of Sidmouth, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Seaton and Axminster and extending as far as Lyme Regis just across the Dorset county boundary.
It was founded in 1982. It’s published by Archant South West, a branch of the Archant media group’s Archant Lifestyle division, from their headquarters just outside Exeter. It’s a companion to the Sidmouth Herald paid-for weekly title.
In addition to the main edition (the “Sid Valley Midweek Herald”), two local sub-editions were published up until at least May 2011: the Axe Valley & District Midweek Herald and the Honiton & District Midweek Herald.
It comes out on Wednesdays. An e-edition is also available on the website. (Presumably the Sid Valley edition; prior to May 2011, all three were available.)
