Mendip Messenger (defunct)
The Mendip Messenger was a weekly freesheet newspaper for Mid Somerset, including the towns of Wells, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Somerton, Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Glastonbury.
It was published on Thursdays by Wells-based Midsomerset Newspapers Ltd, a division of the Daily Mail & General Trust’s Northcliffe Media regional newspaper publishing arm. It had no website of its own; its Internet presence was through the thisissomerset.co.uk website common to Northcliffe Media’s publications for the county.
It ceased publication in early 2009.
