Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review

The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley Review (“incorporating The Ross Trading Post and The Forest Weekly News“) is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to households in the Forest of Dean district in western Gloucestershire, and in the Wye Valley in southern Herefordshire and eastern Monmouthshire, including the towns of Cinderford, Coleford, Lydney, Newent, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow.

Its predecessor, the Forest of Dean Review, was founded in 1982 as an independent freesheet. The Wye Valley Review was launched as a sister publication two years later, and the two papers merged in 1985. Its large circulation makes it one of the biggest weekly newspapers in the West of England and South Wales.

The Review is now published by Tindle Newspapers. The editorial offices are in Lydney.

A paid-for companion for Chepstow, the Chepstow Review, was launched in November 2011.

It comes out on Wednesdays. A free e-edition’s also available on the website.
