Bristol Evening Post

The Bristol Evening Post is a tabloid newspaper sold from Mondays to Saturdays in the city of Bristol, northern Somerset and southern Gloucestershire.

It’s published by Bristol News & Media (formerly Bristol United Press Ltd), which is a subsidiary of Northcliffe Media, the regional newspaper publishing wing of the Daily Mail & General Trust.

It was founded in 1932. In spite of the name, it’s not really an evening newspaper as such; the three-star (final) edition comes out at noon! (There are two editions; the other one is the two-star edition.)

Cook, serial restaurateur and TV cookery programme presenter Keith Floyd worked for the Post as the editor’s assistant for a while in the early 1960s.

There’s an associated weekly freesheet, the Bristol Observer.
