Bath Observer (defunct)

The Bath Observer was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the City of Bath and surrounding parts of North East Somerset.

It was initially entitled the Bath Times and was renamed the Bath Observer in 2007; it has nothing to do with an earlier newspaper called The Bath Observer and published from at least the 1870s until 1960. It was published by Bristol News & Media Ltd (part of the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper division, Northcliffe Media) as a companion to its paid-for title for the area, the Bath Chronicle. It shared the Chronicle‘s editorial offices (in Bath) and website.

A sub-edition, the Norton Radstock & Frome Observer, covered the towns of Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Frome and their surrounding villages.

It ceased publication in February 2008.
