The Staines Informer
is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed to homes in the town of Staines and in surrounding parts of North Surrey
(including Egham) and the south-western fringes of the London Borough of Hounslow (Feltham).
It was founded in 1974.
Until recently it was published by Trinity Mirror Southern and shared a website and editorial offices in Chertsey with their paid-for title for the area, the Staines News. However, both titles were moved into the management of another Trinity Mirror division, Surrey & Berkshire Media, after it was acquired from the Guardian Media Group in March 2010. All S&BM’s titles share a common website and editorial offices in Guildford, although there’s still a local presence in Chertsey.
It comes out on Thursdays.
