All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Mirror Midweek (defunct)

The Mirror Midweek was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes and via pickup points at supermarkets, convenience stores and elsewhere in the towns of Reigate, Redhill and Horley in the District of Reigate and Banstead, and the town of Epsom in the neighbouring Borough of Epsom and Ewell – both in Surrey.

It was a companion to the paid-for weekly tabloid the Surrey Mirror published by East Surrey & Sussex News & Media, part of the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional publishing division, Northcliffe Media. The editorial offices were collocated with those of its parent newspaper in Reigate.

It was launched in 2011 as a replacement to an earlier freesheet, The Post.

It had no website of its own; it contributed news stories to Northcliffe’s portal website for the area, thisissurrey.co.uk.

It came out on Tuesdays.

It ceased publication in August 2012. Archived e-editions can still be found online by searching.
