Havant & Waterlooville Journal (defunct)

The Havant & Waterlooville Journal was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in the East Hampshire towns of Havant and Waterlooville and the neighbouring smaller towns of Cowplain, Horndean and Emsworth.

It was established in 1984 by Portsmouth Publishing & Printing – part of nationwide publishers of regional newspapers Johnston Press since 1999 – as part of a three-title Journal freesheet companion series to their paid-for title for the Portsmouth area, The News, whose editorial offices it shared.

The Journal series titles had no website of their own. The link below is to the website of The News, which has news sections for Havant and Waterlooville.

It came out on Thursdays.

The Journal series was discontinued at the end of October 2012 to enable resources to be concentrated on the newly relaunched News.
