All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

The Bracknell Times

The Bracknell Times is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in the central Berkshire town of Bracknell as well as the nearby towns of Sandhurst and Crowthorne.

It was launched in October 2013 as an “upgrade” of the discontinued Bracknell Forest Standard. However, at 8,000 its initial print run was considerably smaller than its predecessor’s (which exceeded 30,000). Again unlike the Standard, it’s distributed through pickup points rather than letterboxes.

It’s published by Surrey & Berkshire Media, part of the Guardian Media Group until they sold it to Trinity Mirror in February 2010. The editorial offices are at S&B Media’s headquarters in Reading.

Its web presence is through the Bracknell pages of S&B Media’s getreading.co.uk website.

It comes out on Thursdays.
