Bracknell News

The Bracknell News is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in and around the mid-Berkshire town of Bracknell.

It was founded in 1959 and is the lead title in a series of newspapers for eastern central Berkshire published by the Berkshire Media Group, which in turn is a subsidiary of the Dunfermline-based Romanes Media Group group (formerly Clyde & Forth Press). The editorial offices used to be in Bracknell (latterly in the South Hill Park Arts Centre) but have now moved to Reading.

The other titles in the series are the Ascot News and the Wokingham, Crowthorne & Sandhurst News. There’s also a companion freesheet, the Bracknell & Wokingham Midweek.

The series was previously published as part of the portfolio of Berkshire Regional Newspapers, owned by Trinity Mirror, but Trinity Mirror sold the company to Berkshire Media for £10 million in July 2007.

The Bracknell News comes out on Thursdays.
