in the southern half of the Cherwell district in north-east Oxfordshire, including Woodstock (actually in neighbouring West Oxfordshire) and Kidlington.
It’s published by Newsquest (Oxfordshire) from their central editorial offices in Oxford.
It was founded in 1879. It’s the second newspaper to bear the title; an earlier The Bicester Advertiser was established in 1855 and lasted for 11 years before closing in 1866.
It comes out on Thursdays.
