Wigan Reporter

The Wigan Reporter is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper published on Thursdays for the Lancashire town of Wigan and its surrounding area, including the towns of Skelmersdale, Hindley and Ashton-in-Makerfield.

It was founded in the 1980s as a freesheet companion to the Wigan Evening Post and the Wigan Observer, with which it shares a website. Like them, it’s published by Lancashire Newspapers Ltd, based in Wigan, which is part of Johnston Press.

The Reporter’s sister papers in the Johnston Press setup are the Leigh Reporter and the St Helens Reporter.
