Preston & Leyland Citizen (defunct)
The Preston & Leyland Citizen was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the towns of Preston, Leyland and Bamber Bridge in central Lancashire and the surrounding South Ribble area.
It was founded in 1979, a relatively early freesheet by UK standards. It ceased publication in December 2008 as a result of the recession.
At the time of its closure it was published by Newsquest Blackburn Ltd, part of the nationwide Newsquest group.
