Crosby & Bootle Star

The Crosby & Bootle Star is a weekly freesheet tabloid delivered to homes in the towns of Crosby and Bootle in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, to the north of Liverpool.

It’s published by Trinity Mirror Merseyside. The editorial offices are at their headquarters in Liverpool.

It was launched in June 2013 as part of a revived Star freesheet series for northern and eastern suburban Liverpool originally launched in 1984. In January 2012 Trinity Mirror North West & North Wales merged the Anfield & Walton Star, the Maghull & Aintree Star and the Bootle Times into a single newspaper, The Star, which was distributed as a free supplement to the Tuesday edition of the Liverpool Echo as well as being sold as a stand-alone title.

Although still a tabloid, the relaunched series was also revamped and now appears in a magazine-style format. The publication day has also changed, to Wednesday.

The revived Star series has a new URL at liverpoolcommunities.co.uk, although for the time being it redirects to the Echo‘s website.
