Crewe & Nantwich Guardian

The Crewe & Nantwich Guardian is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in and around the town of Crewe and the nearby market town of Nantwich in South Cheshire; the distribution area also covers the towns of Sandbach, Willaston, Shavington and Haslington.

It’s published by Newsquest (North West), who are based in Warrington. The editorial offices are in Northwich.

It’s the sole remaining title of what used to be a three-title series of Guardians for South Cheshire. Until recently there were two editions – a main Crewe Guardian for most of the circulation area, and a separate edition for Nantwich called the Nantwich Guardian – but both appear to have been absorbed into a single title. The URL for the website that’s quoted in the newspaper, www.creweandnantwichguardian.co.uk, redirects to the Crewe Guardian‘s website (www.creweguardian.co.uk). The third title, the Congleton Guardian, ceased publication on 24 December 2008.

It comes out on Thursdays. A free e-edition is also available on the website.
