All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Blackpool Reporter (defunct)

The Blackpool Reporter – in full, the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Reporter – was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered free to homes across the western end of the Fylde peninsula in Lancashire, to the south and west of the River Wyre, including the towns of Blackpool, Fleetwood, Thornton Cleveleys, Poulton-le-Fylde, Kirkham and Lytham St Annes.

It was published by Blackpool Gazette & Herald Ltd, a branch of regional newspaper publisher Johnston Press‘s North West Division, and was a companion to their paid-for titles for the area, The Gazette, the Fleetwood Weekly News and the Lytham St Annes Express. The editorial offices were in Blackpool and, like the website, were shared with The Gazette.

It came out on Thursdays. It ceased publication in late 2012.
