South Tyne Star
The South Tyne Star is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the southern side of the mouth of the Tyne, taking in the towns of South Shields, Jarrow and Boldon.
It’s published by Sunderland-based Northeast Press, part of the UK-wide regional newspaper giants Johnston Press. It’s part of a series of Star freesheets for the Tyne & Wear metropolitan area and the coastal towns of County Durham.
It has no website of its own; the link below is to the associated paid newspaper for the area, the Shields Gazette.
It comes out on Thursdays.
