Morpeth Extra (defunct)

The Morpeth Extra was a short-lived weekly freesheet tabloid delivered to homes in the town of Morpeth and surrounding parts of the former Borough of Castle Morpeth in central Northumberland.

It was launched in October 2010 by NCJ Media, a division of major newspaper publishing group Trinity Mirror, as a companion to their paid-for title for the area, The Journal (whose website it piggybacked on for its online presence). The editorial offices were collocated with those of The Journal in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

It came out on Wednesdays. It ceased publication in late 2011.
