East Cleveland Herald & Post

The East Cleveland Herald & Post is one of a series of three Herald & Post weekly freesheet tabloid newspapers distributed around Teesside and the Tees Valley. It covers the area east of Teesside, around the towns of Redcar, Marske-by-the-Sea and Saltburn-by-the-Sea and as far inland as Guisborough.

It was established in 1983 as the East Cleveland & North Yorks Advertiser, became the East Cleveland & North Yorks Herald & Post in 1989 and assumed its current title in 1996 when the North Yorkshire Herald & Post (now defunct) was launched.

The publishers are Gazette Media Company Ltd (part of the Trinity Mirror group and publishers of the Evening Gazette), whose offices are in Middlesbrough.

It comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available free on the website.
