East Cleveland Advertiser (defunct)
The East Cleveland Advertiser was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the towns and villages of East Cleveland, including Redcar, Marske-by-the-Sea, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Guisborough.
It was published by Newsquest (North East) Ltd; the offices were in Redcar. It was linked to the Northern Echo, the Darlington-based daily tabloid for North East England, as one of a series of seven Advertiser titles (whose main office is also in Darlington).
It came out on Fridays.
It ceased publication in December 2008, although the other six titles remained in circulation for the time being. The link below now redirects to the Advertiser series news page.
