Wandsworth Borough News (defunct)

The Wandsworth Borough News was a local sub-edition of the paid-for weekly tabloid newspaper the Surrey Comet for the London Borough of Wandsworth in South West London. As such, it had no website of its own; the link below is to the Wandsworth news section of the Comet‘s website.

It started life in 1884 as The Putney & Wandsworth Borough News, dropping the reference to Putney in 1900. At the time of its demise it was part of the Surrey Comet Group, published by Newsquest (South London).

Like its parent newspaper, it came out on Wednesdays.

It was absorbed into Newsquest’s freesheet weekly tabloid for the area, the Wandsworth Guardian, in December 2008.
