The Peninsula (defunct)

The Peninsula
was a weekly freesheet tabloid for the Greenwich peninsula, on the south bank of the River Thames opposite the Isle of Dogs in eastern Greater London.

It was launched in 2007 as a slip edition of The Docklands, with the same content apart from the front and back pages. It was published by Archant London’s East London Newspapers branch, part of the Archant media group’s Archant London division.

The editorial offices were originally in Bethnal Green and were shared with Archant’s other title for eastern Inner London, the Stratford & Newham Express. They moved to Archant London’s Ilford facility in 2010.

It came out on Tuesdays (although each edition bore the following Wednesday’s date).

Archives of the e-edition used to be available online at the website of The Docklands, which was also The Peninsula‘s online presence. But they seem to have disappeared following The Docklands‘s merger with the East London Advertiser as The Docklands & East London Advertiser in November 2011.
