Biggin Hill News

The Biggin Hill News is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the town of Biggin Hill at the south-easternmost extremity of Greater London and nearby communities in the southern part of the London Borough of Bromley, including Hayes and West Wickham.

It was founded in 1966 as a fortnightly title by Gilbert Smith, initially working from a kitchen table, and grew to a group of five titles including the Bromley Borough News, the Edenbridge Chronicle and the Tandridge Chronicle. (The Bromley Borough News is now effectively the main title of the group; the Biggin Hill News is little more than a slip edition of it.) The group was acquired by Tindle Newspapers in 1983.

It’s produced from editorial offices in Westerham and comes out on Thursdays. An e-edition’s also available via the website.
