Wellingborough & Rushden Mercury & Citizen (defunct)
The Wellingborough & Rushden Mercury & Citizen was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for homes in and around the East Northamptonshire towns of Wellingborough, Rushden, Irchester and Higham Ferrers.
It was published by Northamptonshire Newspapers, part of nationwide publishers of regional newspapers Johnston Press’s Midland Division. The editorial offices were in Kettering.
It had no website of its own; its web presence was through the website of the Northants Evening Telegraph.
It came out on Thursdays.
In 2008 it merged with the Kettering Mercury & Citizen and the Corby Mercury & Citizen to form the Northants Mercury & Citizen.
