All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Telegraph Lite

The Telegraph Lite (“incorporating the Express”) is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in and around the city of Derby, including the nearby towns of Ilkeston and Belper.

It was launched in March 2012 by the Derby Telegraph Media Group (part of the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper publishing division, Northcliffe Media) as a companion to its daily paid-for tabloid for Derby and southern Derbyshire, the Derby Telegraph, with which it shares editorial offices in the city.

It replaced an earlier Derby Express series, including its sub-editions the Belper Express and the Ilkeston, Ripley & Heanor Express.

It has no website of its own; it relies on the Telegraph‘s website for its Internet presence.

It comes out on Thursdays.
