The Telegraph Lite
(“incorporating the Express
”) is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in and around the city of Derby
, including the nearby towns of Ilkeston and Belper.
It was launched in March 2012 by the Derby Telegraph Media Group (part of the Daily Mail & General Trust‘s regional newspaper publishing division, Northcliffe Media) as a companion to its daily paid-for tabloid for Derby and southern Derbyshire, the Derby Telegraph, with which it shares editorial offices in the city.
It replaced an earlier Derby Express series, including its sub-editions the Belper Express and the Ilkeston, Ripley & Heanor Express.
It has no website of its own; it relies on the Telegraph‘s website for its Internet presence.
It comes out on Thursdays.
