All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Peak Courier

The Peak Courier is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in the west of Derbyshire, in a large circulation area based in Buxton but stretching to Glossop in the north, the High Peak towns of New Mills, Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith, Bakewell and Dovedale, the spa town of Matlock, and Wirksworth.

It’s published by Wilfred Edmunds Ltd, part of the Johnston Press regional and local newspaper publishing group, from editorial offices in Buxton which are shared with their paid newspaper, the Buxton Advertiser. It also shares the Advertiser‘s website.

It replaced an earlier Courier series comprised of the High Peak Courier and Glossop Courier in 2009. The Buxton Times and the Matlock-based Peak Times closed at the same time.

It comes out on Fridays.
