All about the United Kingdom’s national, regional and local press

Market Rasen Mail

The Market Rasen Mail is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the small town of Market Rasen in West Lindsey, as well as the nearby towns of Brigg and Caistor in northern Lincolnshire.

It was founded in 1856 as the Market Rasen Weekly Mail, and Lincolnshire Advertiser, and became the Market Rasen Mail 30 years later.

It’s published by Peterborough-based East Midlands Newspapers, a branch of nationwide regional newspaper giants Johnston Press. Its editorial offices are collocated with those of the Horncastle News in Horncastle, but there’s also a “hub” with a drop box open on weekday mornings – and an editor’s surgery every Friday morning – in Union Street in Market Rasen.

It comes out on Wednesdays.
