Coalville Echo (defunct)

The Coalville Echo was a local sub-edition of the paid-for weekly tabloid newspaper the Loughborough Echo, covering the north-west Leicestershire towns of Coalville and Shepshed.

It started publication in February 1996 as the Coalville Echo Extra, but dropped the word Extra in September of that year. It was published by Trinity Mirror Midlands from editorial offices in Loughborough and came out on Thursdays.

Trinity Mirror announced the newspaper’s closure in July 2009, along with eight other titles.
