Chesterfield Express (defunct)

The Chesterfield Express was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper delivered to homes in the market town and borough of Chesterfield and surrounding parts of north-eastern Derbyshire.

It was launched in 1994 by Wilfred Edmunds Ltd, a company within the North division of regional publishing giant Johnston Press that also publishes the Derbyshire Times, Johnston’s paid title for the area, and – until September 2012 – the Chesterfield Advertiser, another freesheet. The editorial offices were in Chesterfield.

It came out on Wednesdays.

It ceased publication in 2009.
