The Ashfield Chad
is an edition of the Nottinghamshire weekly paid-for tabloid newspaper the Mansfield Chad for the district of Ashfield to the south-west of Mansfield
, including the towns of Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
It’s published by North Notts Newspapers, which since 1995 has been part of Johnston Press, one of the UK’s largest regional newspaper publishers. The main editorial offices for the series are in Mansfield – there used to be a sub-office in Sutton, but the address for it is no longer given either on the Chad‘s website or on Johnston Press’s.
It was launched as the Sutton and Kirkby edition of the main Chad in 1985, but was given its present title in 1988.
It comes out on Wednesdays.
