Alfreton Echo
The Alfreton Echo (formerly the Alfreton & Ripley Echo) is a weekly freesheet newspaper distributed to homes in and around the town of Alfreton in the mid-Derbyshire Borough of Amber Valley.
It was launched in 1985. It’s published by Wilfred Edmunds (Derbyshire Times) Ltd, part of the Johnston Press group, as a companion to their paid weekly tabloid the Derbyshire Times. Its offices are in Alfreton High Street.
