Wisbech Standard
The Wisbech Standard is a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper distributed on Fridays to households in Wisbech and surrounding towns and villages in the northern part of the Isle of Ely in Cambridgeshire, with some spillover into neighbouring parts of Lincolnshire and Norfolk.
It was founded in 1888 by the Sharman family and was owned by them, along with a number of other titles, until it was taken over in the 1980s by Eastern Counties Newspapers, now Archant. It’s published by their Archant Herts & Cambs division.
