Thurrock Recorder (defunct)

The Thurrock Recorder was a local sub-edition of the weekly tabloid newspaper the Romford Recorder. It was sold throughout the unitary authority and Borough of Thurrock in southern Essex, including the towns of Tilbury, Grays, Aveley and South Ockendon.

It was launched in 1988 and kept its original title throughout apart from 15 months from February 1994 to April 1995 when it was called the Thurrock & Lakeside Recorder. Like its parent newspaper, it was published by Archant London from editorial offices in Romford and came out on Fridays.

It was merged into the Romford Recorder in 2008.
