Newmarket Journal
The Newmarket Journal is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold in the Suffolk town of Newmarket and nearby towns and villages on the fringes of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, including Soham, Ely and Mildenhall.
It started publication in the early 1870s.
It’s published by the Anglia Newspapers group, which has several other titles in Suffolk. The group is part of the nationwide publisher of regional and local newspapers, Johnston Press; the Journal’s sister newspapers in the Johnston website network are the Bury Free Press and the Haverhill Echo, both of which are also published by Anglia Newspapers. The editorial staff are based in Newmarket.
Besides the Town edition for Newmarket itself, there are two local sub-editions for Soham and Mildenhall.
It comes out on Thursdays.
