Leighton Buzzard News (defunct)

The Leighton Buzzard News (abbreviated in the masthead and elsewhere as LB News) was a weekly freesheet tabloid newspaper for the South Bedfordshire town of Leighton Buzzard, the neighbouring town of Linslade and surrounding villages.

It was published by LSN Media, founded in 1977 and a division of Cambridge-based Iliffe News & Media (then an independent group, now part of Local World) since August 2005. The editorial offices were in Luton.

It was launched in 1992 as the South edition of LSN’s Bedfordshire on Sunday freesheet, but was relaunched as a stand-alone title, Leighton Buzzard on Sunday, in 1997. It became the LB News in 2007.

It came out on Wednesdays. A free e-edition was available by email and on the website; archived versions up to its close in May 2010 were available for some time afterwards, but appear to have been taken down by 2013.
