Felixstowe Star

The Felixstowe Star is a local sub-edition of the evening tabloid newspaper the Ipswich Star sold from Monday to Friday around the port town of Felixstowe at the south-eastern tip of Suffolk. (Technically, according to its masthead it’s now the Ipswich Star incorporating the Felixstowe Star.)

It’s published by Archant Suffolk, part of the Archant media group’s Archant Anglia division, and was launched in January 2012 as a revamped version of the Felixstowe edition of the old Evening Star, with a more distinct identity and its own website (although mobile users are still directed to the parent title’s site). The editorial offices are still collocated with the Ipswich Star‘s at Archant Suffolk’s headquarters in Ipswich, but there’s also a local office in Felixstowe at the address given below.

It’s also available as an e-edition by paid subscription.

A companion weekly freesheet, the Star Advertiser, was relegated to a “Felixstowe Advertiser” free edition of the Star in early 2012.
