The Ely Standard
is a weekly tabloid newspaper sold and delivered free to households in the Cambridgeshire cathedral city of Ely and surrounding towns and villages
in the southern part of the Isle of Ely in central and eastern Cambridgeshire, including the towns of Soham and Littleport.
It’s published by Archant Herts & Cambs, a branch of Norwich-based media group Archant‘s Archant Anglia division, and is part of their Cambridgeshire Times & Standard series of newspapers along with the Cambs Times and the Wisbech Standard. The editorial offices are in Ely.
Besides the main edition, there’s also a local edition for Soham (which formerly enjoyed a separate existence as the Soham & Newmarket Standard), although only the Ely edition is delivered free to homes. Both editions are available as e-editions via the website on paid subscription.
It comes out on Thursdays.
