Dunstable on Sunday (defunct)
Dunstable on Sunday was one of a rare breed, a Sunday freesheet tabloid newspaper. It was distributed to homes in the Dunstable area.
It was published by LSN Media Ltd, a branch of Cambridge-based Iliffe News & Media. It was part of a two-title series together with Luton on Sunday; both shared a website. Both were in turn part of a wider group covering northern Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, including Bedfordshire on Sunday (the original title from which Dunstable on Sunday was launched as a separate paper in 1997), the MK News (for Milton Keynes) and the Leighton Buzzard News.
It merged with Luton on Sunday in August 2008 as Luton & Dunstable on Sunday, before being relaunched as the Luton & Dunstable Express and shifting to Wednesday publication on New Year’s Eve 2008.
